The third annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" fund-raiser is kicked-off with a breakfast Tuesday morning at Ed Pickens' Cafe' on Main in Mansfield.

Volunteers, some breast cancer survivors like the MC, Chelley Kemper of MIX-106, gathered to learn how they can raise money for research and treatment.

Research has helped reduce breast cancer deaths, but many women still get the disease. This year's 5-K breast cancer walk is Saturday, October 25, at Richland Carrousel Park.
