Deputies, METRICH Make Large Heroin Bust

Two people are under arrest on heroin possession charges, following the search of a car on Ashland Road. Richland County Sheriff's Deputies learned Thursday morning a vehicle was transporting a large quantity of heroin, and called the METRICH Enforcement Unit for assistance. Officers found the car, and got permission from the occupants to search it. They found 57 grams of heroin inside the car, and 13 more grams in the female driver's purse. The heroin has an estimated street value of $10,500. $808 dollars in cash was also seized. 47-year-old John Browner of Indiana and 35-year-old Kaiulani Holms of Mansfield are in jail, charged with felony heroin possession.
