A local Burger King franchise held a car show benefit to raise money for local charities such as the Salvation Army. At first, it was only a car show. After manager Erin Osborn retooled the car show so the proceeds went to charity, corporate took notice.

"Carrols Corporate is going to match dollar-for-dollar whatever the proceeds are," Osborn said. "That'll be double the contribution to the Salvation Army."

Those who didn't make it to the car show who wish to donate can donate to the Salvation Army through other services such as the Area Agency on Aging.
