Teen dies from injuries suffered in August 7 crash

A Perrysville teen has died from injuries received in a crash that happened in Ashland County two weeks ago.

Cheyenne Spidel, 18, died Sunday morning at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Spidel was a passenger in a car driven by Brooke Lewis, 18,  of Jeromesville, who was killed Aug. 7, when she ran a stop sign and her vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer at the intersection of U.S. 30 West and County Road 2175 in Ashland County.

Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene. Spidel was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition.

Spidel and Lewis graduated from Hillsdale High School this year.
