The new school year begins in Ontario, with smiling, wide- eyed children arriving ready to learn and have fun with their friends.

The 975 pre-school through fifth grade students arrived at Stingel Elementary School Wednesday morning, filing out of their buses or hopping out of mom's car.

Several Ontario police cars stood by to make sure motorists passing through the school zone slowed down to 20 miles-an-hour, and everyone arrived safely.
