Madison School District Opens Up

Students and teachers in the Madison School District are re-energized as today was the first day of classes for the new school year. Madison Schools Superintendent Lee Kaple was on hand to greet seventh and eighth grade students before also making his way over to Madison High School to welcome returning students there. "I think (the students) miss their friends and are ready to get back in the routine of school," Kaple says. "Our new middle school is opening up with the fifth and sixth graders this year so we'll have everything in place and it's really going to be an exciting year at Madison. Along with our new middle school opening up and being fully operational this year, we also had a renovation completed at our sports complex. We have a new track and we also have turf at our football field." Kaple says as Madison enters a new school year, educators look forward to the future and the positive developments to provide outstanding educational programs for their students.
