Two people are dead after a two-vehicle crash at U.S. 42 and Ohio 302 in Ashland County Tuesday night.

The State Highway Patrol says Loretta Meachem, 77, of Bellevue, and Autumn Meachem, 25, of West Salem, were killed.

The patrol says Srilatha Thadur, 37, of Ypilanti, Michigan, was driving east on Ohio 302 in a 2010 Mercedes C300 at 7:42 p.m. when she ran a stop sign for eastbound traffic and hit a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country minivan driven by Josh Moore, 35.

Both vehicles ran off the east side of the road and into a yard.

Loretta Meacham and Autumn Meacham were passengers in Moore's minivan. Autumn Meachem was pronounced dead at the scene and Loretta Meachem died at Ashland Samaritan Hospital.

Moore and Autumn Meachem's four-year-old daughter were transported to Ashland Samaritan Hospital for their injuries. Thadur was taken to Ashland Samaritan Hospital for minor injuries.

The patrol says Moore, Loretta Meacham and Autumn Meacham were not wearing seatbelts. Thadur was wearing a seatbelt.

The juvenile was in a booster seat at the time of the crash.
