34 year old Rashaune Ramsey was sentenced today in Richland County Common Pleas Court for the March 20th rape of a 31 year old woman at his residence at 201 Rowland Avenue.

The victim was present in court, and her statement which was read by an assistant prosecutor spoke of Ramsey's "sick and unspeakable reign of terror"

Ramsey was convicted earlier this month of six counts, including rape, and two counts of kidnapping. He also was found guilty of a sexually violent predator specification for the rape, as well as sexually violent predator and sexual motivation specifications of one the kidnapping accounts.

He was found not guilty of sexually violent predator and sexual motivation specifications for the second count.

Ramsey's attorney stated he plans to ask for a re-trial, regarding "new information" he received as of Friday morning.
