Walker Lake Road's Maddox Memorial Church of God in Christ held its own block party to celebrate the community around the church.

"We're doing this for our community," said Aaron Williams, Associate Pastor at Maddox. "We love the lord, and we know the lord loves his people. So we love his people as well. And so, we want to give back to the neighborhood."

The block party included free health screenings, several food vendors, an inflatable tiger-shaped bounce house, games, and more.
