Richland Co. Dog License Fee Increases Next Year

Richland County's dog license fee increases next year for the first time in twelve years. The commissioners Tuesday approved a $2 increase, bringing the yearly fee from $16 to $18. This will generate enough revenue to keep-up with debt payments for construction of the dog pound on Home Road, and to restore Deputy Dog Warden Ray Scott to full-time. The kennel license fee also increases, from $80 to $90. Multi-year or lifetime dog licenses which are already paid for are not subject to the increase.
