One of the most bitter non- conference rivalries in all of North Central Ohio went to the road team Friday night, as Ontario knocked off Lexington 33-21.

The Warriors fell behind 7-0 early in the opening quarter, but would respond with 20 unanswered points and led 20-14 after three quarters of play. In the fourth quarter the Warriors controlled the clock with a pair of long scoring drives to cap off a confidence boosting week one victory.

Ontario junior quarterback Alex Vrendenburgh threw three touchdown passes on the night, two to Griffin Niss, the other to Troy Collins. Minutemen junior quarterback Joey Vore also threw for three scores, but had an interception returned for a TD by Ontario's Mitchell Zahn.

The Warriors (1-0) will host Clear Fork (0- 1) next Friday, while Lexington (0-1) will host Shelby (0-1).
