Pleasant Hill Lake Park held a Labor Day celebration, complete with arts, crafts, a live DJ, and fireworks. People who participated in making crafts created fireworks art out of coffee filters, paint, and black construction paper. Later in the day, games were held outside, and fireworks wrapped up the evening, with both park gates open to accommodate traffic.

The Labor Day celebration is the park's second biggest event of the year, and its next upcoming event is on Halloween, where park visitors can go trick-or-treating, decorate their lot, and participate in events going on at the welcome center and other areas of the park.
