Teen pleads not guilty to killing his father

A Loudonville teen accused of murdering his father pleads not guilty.

Mitchell Kaufman, 15, was arraigned Wednesday in Ashland County Juvenile Court. Kaufman pleaded not guilty to the charges of aggravated murder and murder.

Kaufman is charged in the Aug. 28 stabbing of his father, James Kaufman, 42, during an altercation at their Middle Drive home.

Juvenile Court Judge Damian Vercillo is expected to schedule another hearing within the next two weeks.
