Mansfield & Shelby Honored for Beautification Efforts

The Mansfield Men's Garden Club announced the winners of the 2014 Beautification Awards Thursday evening A total of 13 winners in the residential, member, institutional and civic categories were honored at the club's annual Corn Roast at the Richland County Fairgrounds, Fairhaven Hall.

Club President, Jim Kulig explains the purpose for the awards is to honor those who invest time and energy in making their cities beautiful places to live.

Downtown Mansfield was awarded for its beautification efforts around the city as well as the city of Shelby for their community gardens which benefit the neighborhood through participation as well as the ability to enjoy vegetables grown in the garden.
