The Clear Fork Colts have advanced to Friday's Division II district final in softball after a 4-2 win over SBC champion Edison. The Chargers were able to break out on top in the bottom of the third 1- 0, when with two outs and two on Edison's Kaylee Fox doubled to straight away center field that scored Gabby Stoll who had singled two batters earlier, and with Edison Pitcher Karyn Schmidt keeping the Colts hitless through the first four innings it looked as though that run might be enough.

But in the 6th, the Colts Taylor Cook reached on a single, then Taylor Kline doubled to right. The Colts would then tie the game when Erika Farst reached on an error. Anna Myers brought Kline around with an RBI single giving Clear Fork the lead at 2-1. The Colts would add two more in the seventh inning when with two outs, Cook singled to left, that brought up Taylor Kline who hit one to the gap in center that scored Cook giving Clear Fork a 3-1 lead, meantime Kline just kept running turning a double or triple into an inside the park home run giving the Colts a lead of 4-1.

Edison would threaten in their half of the seventh scoring a run, but with two outs and runners on first and third, Clear Fork pitcher Morgan Arnett got Edison's Gabby Stoll to ground to second baseman Montana Walker who flipped to Kline covering at second for the force play ending the game and sending the Colts to the D-2 final against either Clyde or rival Lexington Friday at 5pm back at Buckeye Central. With the win the Colts improve to 22-7, while Edison drops out of tournament play at 22-4.
