19-3 Ontario was lose and ready for their Division II district semifinal. 22-5 Clyde maybe not so much as the Fliers booted the ball around in the first inning to the tune of two errors, and after the dust had cleared from Aaron Bakers grand slam, Clyde was down 5-0 before they came up to bat. The Warriors kept the pressure on in their half of the second scoring three more runs making it 8-0, giving Ontario starter Paul Homan plenty of cushion as he would strike out four, not issue a walk while giving up one run on eight hits.

In the field Ontario played error free, while Clyde committed four. At the plate the Warriors collected eight hits with Baker, Ridge Jackson and Homan doing most of the damage. Ontario then ended the night early tacking on three more runs in the top of the fifth with a run rule win of 11-1. The win puts the NOL champion Warriors at 19-3 on the season, while Clyde drops out of the OHSAA baseball tournament at 22-5.

Ontario advances to the Division II district final Saturday at 2pm back at Madison where they will face state ranked Sandusky Perkins. The Pirates earned their way in to the D-2 final after stopping Lexington 6-2 in the upper bracket D-2 district semifinal. The winner of Saturday's game will advance to regional semifinal play at Tiffin University, next Thursday at 5pm to face Keystone. The Wildcats beat Cleveland Benedictine 3-1 on Wednesday night to win their district.
