We talk to "The Biggest Loser's" personal trainer, Bob Harper, about his nutrition rules to help you lose weight this summer in today's Health Minute. We know Bob Harper as the man behind many of the transformations on "The Biggest Loser." Now. he's written a new book "Skinny Meals" and he shares some of his nutrition tips with us. First up, drink plenty of water. Sometimes when we think we're hungry, we're really dehydrated. He says drink a glass of water before every meal. "Chances are you're gonna be a little bit more full, you're gonna be a little less likely to overeat," Harper says. Another good routine, eating breakfast. Skipping meals can leave you far too hungry and then... "No resolve whatsoever," harper says. "Binging will happen, overeating will happen and it'll happen at night. At night when you're supposed to be watching every single thing that you're eating." He's a big fan of vegetables and says people can eat as many as they want of most varieties. "No one is ever going to gain weight from eating broccoli, spinach, kale or ah, cauliflower," Harper says. "Unless they smother it in butter or cheese of course. And I do not want you to." And he says, keep the bad stuff out of the house. "Clear out those temptations because you're at home at night and you're exhausted, and if there is this big chocolate bar sitting in your cupboard, you're going to eat it," Harper says. All good advice to help you get slim and trim.
