www.wmfd.com - Three years after the U.S. space shuttle program retired, American astronauts have a new ride to space. And this is it. It's called Orion. And crews at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida are putting the final touches on the next-generation spaceship. It's expected to travel where no human has ever gone before, with missions into deep space, Mars and beyond. Orion's first test-flight mission is set for December. But astronauts won't be allowed on that trip. The first astronauts will travel into space aboard Orion in 2017.
