GALION, OH - A minor accident involving a Galion school bus took place in the city of Galion around three in the afternoon on Thursday, February 16th.

Th Galion police department responded to the corner of Murray Street and Smith Street for a low-speed semi-truck versus school bus collision.

According to Thomas Ross-Fox, a student who was on the bus, the semi truck was trying to turn the narrow corner as the bus approached stop sign. Consequently, the truck grazed the back end of the bus near where Ross-Fox was seated.

A representative of the Galion Police Department said the accident was so minor that no press release will be filed. It is unknown at this time who is considered at fault.

Minimal damage was sustained by either vehicle, and no one was injured. Ross-Fox explained that originally a second bus was called to transport the occupants of the bus, but the accident was minor enough that the second bus was called off and the original one completed its route.
