Mansfield Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Near Shelby

SHELBY, OH - A Mansfield man was killed in a motorcycle crash this past weekend on Ohio 39 near Shelby.

The Mansfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says Stanley Hendrix, 60, died in the accident,

The patrol says Hendrix failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road, with his motorcycle striking a guardrail.

The impact caused the motorcycle to travel back onto the roadway where it overturned and ejected Hendrix, who was not wearing a helmet.

He was transported to OhioHealth Shelby Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Shelby Police Department and Shelby Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
