TOLEDO, OH - It is still a mystery but one the Toledo Police are sure they will solve.

A two-month-old white baby boy found dead inside a car.

So, how did the baby end up there and who are the parents?

It was a gruesome discovery in this quiet West Toledo neighborhood.

The owner of a car that had not been used for a while noticed something was wrong and called the police.

"There was some odor coming from the vehicle and the owner went to investigate it," says Toledo Police Lt. Joe Heffernan.

The body, so badly decomposed, it's unknown how long the baby was in the car and if he was dead when placed there, or still alive.

These are all questions police hope to get answered as the coroner continues to gather toxicology results.

"I'm sure someone knows the person who had this child.  and we need to hear from, those people or the parents themselves," says Lt. Heffernan. "So we can get some closure on this. This child deserves that at the very minimum."
