MANSFIELD, OH - Mechanics Bank held its second annual Miss Ohio Luncheon downtown, offering contestants a chance to rest and relax as they take a breather from the competition.

"We're thrilled to have the nineteen contestants join us today here at Mechanics Bank," said Debbi Adams, Executive Vice President of Mechanics Bank and the host of the luncheon. "This is the second year we've hosted, we're one of the stops in their many appearances that they will make this week. We're glad to have them here and we wish them all good luck in their competition."

Miss Ohio 2016, Alice Magoto, also made her appearance at the luncheon chatting with the contestants and getting to know them better as they continue to interact throughout the week.

"This is my favorite lunch," beamed Magoto. "I love the courtyard out here, so I always look forward to this. We're in-between dress rehearsals right now, so it's a nice escape from the theater."

Magoto also spoke about what it's like to be the one presenting the Miss Ohio Pageant.

"I am on the other side of things this year, and it's very weird," she remarked. "I definitely am still excited, but I don't have that adrenaline, and I think that's a very weird feeling for me because I'm seeing all the girls, just hanging out with them... I do get to enjoy it a lot more than I did last year, because I was on that adrenaline and I was nervous, so I'm just trying to take it all in and really enjoy every second of the journey this week."

The Miss Ohio Preliminaries start Thursday this week.
