DELAWARE COUNTY, OH - Law enforcement officials in Delaware County, Ohio are investigating after a deputy fired shots as authorities pursued a suspect from an outlet mall.

It all started with a report of shoplifting at the Oshkosh B'Gosh store at the outlet mall.

Officials say a 28-year-old woman stole merchandise, then took off.

Law enforcement was already in the parking lot of the mall and found the vehicle witnesses said the suspect got in.

Officials said a deputy approached the pickup but was knocked over as the suspect fled.

The officer wasn't hurt.

Another deputy responding on foot fired shots at the truck.

Investigators believe at least one of the shots hit a tree.

The woman later crashed the vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
