ONTARIO, OH - The Humane Society of Richland County held its 15th annual 'Strutt Your Mutt' Canine Festival on Saturday, September 9 at Marshall Park.

The day's schedule was packed full of activities for both dogs and their owners. There was a costume contest, a talent show, raffles, food vendors, and even an artist doing pet portraits.

This festival is the Humane Society's biggest fundraiser of the year. Entry is free to the public but people were encouraged to bring in donations for the shelter such as puppy/kitten food, cleaning supplies, and non-clumping litter.

Humane Society Executive Director, Missy Houghton, said that if you could not make it out Saturday but still would like to donate, you can do so through the Humane Society's Facebook page or their website at www.adoptourstrays.com. A list of most-needed supplies can also be found on the website and those donations can be brought directly to the Humane Society.
