ONTARIO, OH - Winter will be here before you know it and the people at Menards on Walker Lake Road in Ontario, want to aid anyone who has a home improvement project to undertake.
Menards is teaming up with local contractors to lend you a helping hand.
In an effort to support the local community, Menards is inviting local contractors into the store to help consumers on how they can assist with home improvement ideas and projects.
"People are starting to get ready for winter, it's starting to get a little colder outside, so we're taking advantage right now before it gets too cold to invite people into the store and invite them to meet with contractors to maybe work on a project they're looking to get done before it starts getting cold outside," said Ontario Menards Manager Oliver Perrelle.
By staging a local contractor connection event, it's a chance for people to meet with contractors face-to-face and essentially get the ball rolling on a project you might be putting off or didn't know it could be done.
"A lot of these guys are local, they've been in the area for a long time, they've done business in the area for a long time," Perrelle said. "These guys are your neighbors, these guys go your church, went to your school. We like to promote locally and a lot of our competition will pull contractors from the Columbus area, from the Cleveland area, and we're pulling guys from the Mansfield area, from Ontario, from Lexington, from Galion, those kinds of places because you want these local guys to come in a do a great job for you and these local guys are proud of their work. This is how they get repeat business, they get continued business by showing off the work they've done in the past. Having these local contractors is a great way to get the local word of mouth out about their business so we're trying to help them grow a little bit too."
The Local Contractor Connection Event runs Wednesday through Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. each day.
"These guys are experts in different things from insulation to door installation, installing windows, installing plumbing fixtures, electrical, paint, pretty much anything you want to work on," Perrelle says. "We'll have guys here in the field of installation to help you out. Every year about the beginning of November we usually get people in saying 'I have family coming in for Thanksgiving, I want to get this project done before they show up,' and with special order lead times, sometimes that's not possible, so September's a great time to get started on this type of project."
It's a great opportunity to get valuable help from local contractors to get your next project started and with confidence.
