ASHLAND, OH - Dylan Polen, a high school student from Loudonville, took it upon himself to raise money to donate Christmas trees to American troops around the world.

Dylan says, "It means a lot to the troops to see that tree show up because it's that pine smell that puts them in the Christmas spirit."

Dylan has raised over $2,500, enough to send out 168 trees this holiday season, and he plans to do this again in future years.

The trees to be donated were purchased from Sugargrove Tree Farm in Ashland and will be shipped down to Texas by FedEx. From there they will be sent out to troops all around the world.
