ONTARIO, OH - Alexa is a 5-6-year-old German Shepherd mix available for adoption at the Humane Society of Richland County in Ontario. She is WMFD-TV's Pet Of The Week!

Alexa is a very sweet, very calm dog who loves her treats. She was surrendered by her owners after they had to be placed in an assisted living facility and everyone at HSRC fell in love with her. She loves to be close and get scratched and petted by everyone and she is friendly with all types of people. She would do best in a calm home with older children to match her laid back personality. She is friendly with calm dogs and friendly with cats.

The Humane Society of Richland County is located at 3025 Park Avenue West in Ontario and is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from Noon to 5:00 PM and also Thursdays from Noon to 7:00 PM. Go visit Alexa and apply to adopt her or one of many animals available for adoption or fostering. If you can't adopt at this time you can still contribute by donating pet food, toys, leashes, litter, or time to HSRC or your local Humane Society.

Go to AdoptOurStrays.com to donate, view more animals, apply to adopt, apply to foster, or to learn more about getting involved.

Check back to WMFD.com every Wednesday afternoon for a brand new Pet Of The Week from The Humane Society Of Richland County.
