MANSFIELD, OH - Deputies from the Richland County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on North Stewart Rd. around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night for an aggravated burglary in progress.

Resident John Perry was asleep on his couch in the home when he heard noise coming from the kitchen. Upon entering the kitchen, he saw two males going through the cabinets. One of the suspects then pointed a small black handgun at Perry, saying he would shoot him if he didn't comply with their demands, while the other suspect continued to go through the cabinets, eventually finding and taking a prescription bottle containing roughly 40 pills of Percocet.

Around this time, Perry says his son, Dylan, entered the kitchen. The suspect with the gun then proceeded to point it at Dylan and forced him to show him where his bedroom was. Dylan complied and the suspect took $189 and an iPhone 6 from his bedside table.

The two suspects then left through the garage area and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. No signs of forced entry were observed.

The suspects are described as two black males; one was masked and wore an all-red sweatsuit, tennis shoes, was bald, stood approximately 5ft. 9in. tall with a slender build, and was described as being light brown. The other suspect was wearing grey sweatsuit pants with a dark sweatshirt top, a black hat, tennis shoes, had a clean-shaven round face, and was described as having a thicker build. The homeowner stated they both looked young, about 17-years-old.

Dylan Perry stated that earlier that night, a subject by the name of Mason Anthony had been at the residence and was talking to Dylan about how to obtain a firearm and was asking if he could shoot a firearm at the residence. According to Dylan, Anthony was supposed to come back later that night but had never returned. Dylan mentioned several times that he believes Anthony had something to do with the robbery.
