UPDATE: 81 Vehicles, 11 Commercial Involved In I-71 Pile-Up

MORROW COUNTY, OH - 81 vehicles including 11 commercial motor vehicles were involved in a pile-up on Interstate 71 Tuesday night. 

The crash occurred at 4:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes near mile marker 155 in Franklin Township.

There was a heavy snow front in this area at the time causing limited to no visibility. 

Due to the crash, I-71 northbound was closed at State Route 95. Traffic was diverted onto State Route 95 to State Route 13. There were non-life threatening injuries sustained during the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by Mount Gilead Fire, Morrow County EMS, Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, and Johnsville Fire Department.

The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is handling the crash investigation.
