Norwalk State Trooper To Transfer To Bucyrus Post

BUCYRUS, OH - In March, Lieutenant Douglas A. Hamman of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was promoted to the rank of Staff Lieutenant. On Monday, April 16th, his promotion was officially recognized in a ceremony which took place at the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Training Academy in Columbus.

Currently serving at the Norwalk Post of the Highway Patrol, Hamman will be transferring to the Bucyrus District Headquarters to serve as an Assistant District Commander to the area.

Hamman began his career with the OSHP in 1994, where he was initially assigned to the Ashland Post. He later served at the Mansfield Post along with the Bucyrus District Criminal Patrol Unit before becoming Post Commander of the Norwalk Highway Patrol Post.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol  is an internationally accredited agency whose mission is to protect life and property, promote traffic safety, and provide professional public safety services with respect, compassion, and unbiased professionalism.
