MANSFIELD, OH - The Mansfield Police Department welcomed a new officer to the Division on Monday.

Jordan Moore will begin his tenure in Mansfield as a Patrol Officer.

A swearing-in ceremony was held for Moore at the Hutchinson Classroom of the Mansfield City Building.

Moore stated that ever since he was a kid, seeing the state Mansfield was in is what drove him to become a police officer, and he believes his work can make a difference in the community.

"I wanted to be a proactive individual," Moore stated. "With my abilities, I felt like I can decrease the crime here."
