Traffic Stop Results In Drug Arrests In Ashland

ASHLAND, OH - On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, Ashland Police conducted a traffic stop on Cleveland Avenue resulting in the arrest of two adults and the removal of a 17-year-old boy.

Police were responding to complaints from the public of suspected drug activity in the area of Cleveland Avenue near Cahn Grove Park when they spotted a Red Dodge truck operated by Larry Flory (age 60) of Ashland. Upon stopping the vehicle officers also made contact with Flory’s and his passengers, Nanette Anderson (age 44), also of Ashland, and her 17-year-old son.

During the investigation, Officers seized suspected crack cocaine and evidence of drug trafficking inside the vehicle. Follow-up led to Anderson’s apartment at the Almond Tree Inn where additional items of drug activity were seized.

Flory and Anderson were arrested and transported to the Ashland County Jail pending review by the Ashland County Prosecutor’s Office. The 17-year-old male was removed and placed in the custody of Children Services.
