MANSFIELD, OH - Its another beautiful day at Kingwood Center Gardens in Mansfield!

If you visited Kingwood Center Gardens, you probably have noticed the different displays of flowers by the parking lot.

This is known as a trial garden, where the gardeners at Kingwood Center Gardens display different types of flowers to see how they react to the climate in preparation for the following season.

Head Gardener Mark Hoover explains the trail gardens, cuttings, stock and trials.

Kingwood Center Gardens were built in 1926 by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelly King. The 47-acre public garden saw its grand opening in 1953, one year after Mr. King's death.

Most of the estate after Mr. King's death was left to a private foundation that is still operating the gardens today.

Kingwood Center Gardens is located at 50 North Trimble Road, Mansfield, Ohio.
