MANSFIELD, OH - Wokano Japanese Steakhouse, a Mansfield staple of 13 years, is moving to a new location at 2284 W 4th St in Ontario.

The restaurant is a popular destination for sushi and hibachi in the area. It is so popular, in fact, that owner Rachel Chen says that customers would sometimes see hour-long waits on Friday and Saturday evenings. Moving to this new space should cut down on wait times significantly, as the building is much larger and offers more hibachi tables.

The building is the former location of Ninja Japanese Steakhouse, which closed earlier this year and was sold for $600,000. Chen hopes to make the move in mid-October, depending on the renovation schedule. She says her friends and a few regular customers have approached her to express their excitement about the move.

Until Wokano occupies the new space, it will be located at 2067 W 4th St in Mansfield. Doors are open from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Sundays.
