RICHLAND COUNTY, OH - Searches continued into Tuesday for wanted fugitive Shawn Richard Christy in Richland County.

Law enforcement authorities were dispatched all over Richland County, specifically in Belleville.

A perimeter was set up around State Route 13 near I-71. Drones took to the skies in an attempt to locate Christy.

Residents are still advised to stay inside their homes and make sure their doors are locked. Residents are also advised to make sure vehicle doors are locked and keys are not left in vehicles.

"If any resident of the city of Mansfield would happen to come across this individual, we recommend them not to approach, but to immediately contact law enforcement." Keith Porch, Assistant Chief of the Mansfield Division of Police, said.

SWAT, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Mansfield Police Department, Belleville Police Department, and the Ontario Police Drone Unit continued their search throughout Tuesday.

The reward for information to Christy's arrest has been increased to $20,000.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, authorities responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-71 near mile marker 171 in the northbound lane on Sunday. The driver fled the scene, leaving behind a white 2002 GMC utility truck. The truck had Pennsylvania license plates and was confirmed to be stolen from Skitco Iron Works in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

The suspect in question, Shawn Richard Christy, is 26 years old. He is described as a white male with short brown hair and green eyes. Christy is 5'10" and weighs roughly 165 pounds. He has a tattoo on his upper right arm of a cross with barbed wire.

At this time, law enforcement knows of no discernible personal connection to the area. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with the Police Departments of Bellville, Mansfield, Ontario, the Secret Service, U.S. Marshals, the Violent Fugitive Task Force, and METRICH units all participated in the search. Multiple helicopters, a fixed-wing airplane, and multiple drone units were used during the manhunt to help cover the search area.

Christy is wanted by the FBI for allegedly threatening to harm or kill a police chief, a district attorney, and the President of the United States. Christy made the threats via several Facebook status updates between June 3rd and June 12th. A warrant for his arrest was issued by the United States District Court on June 19th, with specific charges related to Interstate Communication of Threats, and Threats Against the President of the United States.

Christy may be in possession of several stolen handguns and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on Christy's whereabouts is advised to call police or the FBI. Christy has made numerous threats that if confronted, he will resort to violence. Residents are advised to seek shelter, secure all vehicles and building entrances, and ensure that no keys are left in vehicles. Christy has a history of stealing vehicles and burglarizing residences. If seen, call 911 immediately.

Christy has been the subject of the search since approximately 4:41 PM on Sunday.

If sighted, please call the US Marshals tip line at 866-4-WANTED.
