WMFD-TV Is Looking For A Part-Time Multimedia Journalist

MANSFIELD, OH - WMFD-TV of Mansfield is looking for a unique storyteller for a Part-Time MultiMedia Journalist position. 

This individual will be responsible for shooting and editing their own video, write stories for the web, and appearing as an anchor for on-air broadcasts when needed. 

We are looking for a self-starter that can bring unique ideas to the table on local news coverage, and is willing to go the extra mile to produce quality content for our station. 

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Shoot, edit, write and produce news stories
  • Report news stories on camera and conduct interviews
  • Care and maintenance of company equipment
  • Suggest story ideas
  • Be alert of upcoming community events and news
  • Team player
  • Video editing knowledge is a plus
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent writing and editorial judgment
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Flexible to work different shifts and schedules, especially weekends
  • Good organizational skills
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; 1 year of broadcasting experience preferred
  • Must be open to working the weekend shift
  • Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
