WAYNE COUNTY - A Wooster man died Saturday as the results of injuries he received in a two-vehicle crash on December 5.

The crash happened around 2:31 p.m. on Elyria Road at the intersection of Old Lincoln Way Road in Plain Township in Wayne County.

The patrol says 70-year-old David Flinn succumbed to his injuries at University Hospital.

A patrol report finds Flinn was driving a pickup truck eastbound on Old Lincoln Way as a van was traveling north on Elyria Road driven by 59-year-old Sean Keefe of Winfield, West Virginia.

Keefe failed to yield at a stop sign and his van was struck by Flinn's truck.

Flinn was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash but Keefe was wearing his.

Keefe was evaluated at the scene for his injuries by the New Pittsburgh Fire Department but was not transported to a hospital.

Flinn was taken by the New Pittsburgh Fire Department to Wooster Community Hospital and later flown by medical helicopter to Akron City Hospital before being transported to University Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
