Spokes4Kids Donates 45 Bikes For Christmas

MANSFIELD, OH - This holiday season, local gift charity Spokes4Kids is able to donate over 45 bicycles as presents for less fortunate families. According to Ashley Meyer, the Coordinator of Spokes4Kids, the Richland Children's Auxiliary gave Crossroads Church a list of families who would be interested in receiving one of the donated bicycles.

"We were able to purchase 45 of the 58 bikes that they asked for," said Meyer. "Spokes4Kids provides the money. It's a nice team event we do in July. For a team of 5, they pay $125. We had 19 teams this year. That gave us $2,250 to purchase bikes."

Outside donations received for Spokes4Kids are generally anonymous, and one donor even left a jar of charge on the doorstep of the Richland Chamber of Commerce. The bikes will be distributed from Crossroads Church before Christmas day.
