ASHLAND, OH- Ashland Police Division Officers, the Ashland Fire Department, and Ashland EMS, responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of East 3rd and Union Street on Saturday afternoon.

Vic Staley owner of Cars Unlimited Inc. at 308 Union Street was one of the 911 callers.

Staley witnessed the accident when he was walking into his dealership. “I had come back to the dealership and I was just ready to unlock the door to go inside when I realized I forgot my keys,”  Staley said.

“At that moment,” Vic continued, “I heard a loud bang. I Knew what the noise was as I had heard it 100s of times.” “I turned around, looking at the light at 3rd and Union Street While dialing 911, I saw a vehicle fly through the air flip, and smash into the telephone upside down.”

Staley ran over to the vehicle, pulled the door open, and helped the person out of the vehicle.

“The airbags were still going off at that time,” Staley said. “The Lady seemed ok, so I finished the call to 911.  Never in my 26 years at the car lot have I seen a wreck that bad.  Thank god everyone was ok.”

One person was transported by Ashland EMS to University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The Ashland Police Department said no information can be released until the accident report is finished.
