2019 Spread The Light Week Kicks Off In Richland County

MANSFIELD, OH - Local law enforcement and residents gathered at Graham Auto Mall on Sunday to kick of this years Spread the Light week. 

Spread The Light week is a blue-light week dedicated to promoting local law enforcement. The week also aims to build partnerships between law enforcement and the local community, in order to promote peace in communities located in Richland County. 

The kick-off event featured live music, testimonials, refreshment, and more. 

Residents can help promote Spread The Light Week by installing blue light bulbs in houses and businesses during the week of January 6th through January 12th. 

Free blue light bulbs are available to pick up at Graham Auto Mall and the Richland County Sheriff's Office. 

This week's spread the light activities includes:

Monday, January 7th: Coffee with a Cop at participating McDonald’s restaurants

Tuesday, January 8th: Mansfield Senior High School boys’ basketball game vs. West Holmes at 7:30 pm

Wednesday, January 9th: Reading (with a cop) Wednesday

Thursday, January 10th: Cops & Kids. Kids at the Friendly House play dodgeball with police

Friday, January 11th: Dinner provided by Police Wives

Saturday, January 12th: Community Conversation: “Working Together for a Better Community” at Mansfield Senior High School auditorium, 2-4 p.m.
