SHELBY, OH- A benefit Spaghetti dinner in Shelby helped to raise funds for recently widowed mother, Kelly Newmyer.

The dinner was hosted by the First Lutheran Church of Shelby Food Panty and took donations for the Newmyer family.  Jacquelynne Davies said that the dinner supported Kelly Newmyer and honored her late husband, Darin Newmyer.

"She lost her husband and she has two little children so we thought this would help her a little bit," Davies said, "It's hard on her with two little children yet to boot."

The event brought the Shelby community together in the spirit of giving.

"It will help bring the community together because they can come down here and maybe make new friends and enjoy the food and just have a good time," Davies said.  "And also help Kelly so that's what we're planning on."
