MANSFIELD, OH - Dave Krenrick, a Providers for Health Living Mental Health Therapist, spoke on America's opioid crisis at the Richland County Foundation Thursday evening.

Thirty-four people attended the event, which was hosted by the Women's Fund. The Women's Fund promotes philanthropy among women and provides funding to projects in Richland County that empower girls and women to achieve their full potential.

Krenrick discussed the history of the country's drug problem, statistics regarding drug use in certain communities, current options for addiction treatment, and differing explanations of the crisis today.

"We need to do something about the drug epidemic in our community," said Maura Teynor, "That's why the women's fund chose this topic to give information to people, and hopefully we can come to some kind of agreement about how to help people in our community."
