MANSFIELD, OH- St. Patrick's Day brought lots of holiday fun to downtown Mansfield this weekend.

The Phoenix Brewing Company offered live music as well as lots of holiday-themed foods both Saturday and Sunday, according to co-owner, Scott Cardwell.

"We opened up early.  We have a special menu with Truckin' Trav outside, so that's really cool, all kinds of good Irish fair," Cardwell said.

The St. Patrick's day fun was not only for adults.  The Richland Carrousel Park offered lots of family-friendly fun as well.

"Adults have St. Patrick's Day, but the children don't have anything to do, so we want to make sure that our whole family is enjoying this green day," Sharon Bishop, Co-Director of The Richland Carrousel Park said.

The Carrousel was packed with local families looking for a fun way to spend the holiday weekend.

"This is a wonderful event.  It brings everybody out.  We're all Irish today," Bishop said.  "We have green cotton candy, we have green slushies, we have green popcorn, then we have brats and hotdogs and mac and cheese, plus we have a sale in the gift shop."

All the activity brought the city to life and Cardwell said that The Phoenix Brewing Company is always excited to see the community come together during the holidays.

"We enjoy doing St. Paddy's Day.  We have a big Octoberfest celebration in the fall," Cardwell said.  "It's just a lot of fun to see the different groups of people come in and hang out and enjoy the day."
