Arrest Made After 90-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, OH - The Mansfield Division of Police are currently investigating a homicide that took place Tuesday morning.

At 8:12 AM, officers responded to 1831 Middle-Bellville Road Apartment 3 in reference to a 911 call advising that there was a deceased victim at the location.

Upon arrival, officers found 90-year-old Omar Brown deceased inside the residence. 

An investigation found that Brown was a victim of a homicide. The Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and were able to develop suspect information. 

The information led to the arrest of Cody A. Lutz in Medina County at 11:47 A.M. 

No further details are available at this time as the investigation is ongoing. 

The Mansfield Division of Police states that there are no other suspects being sought in connection with the homicide, however, are still looking for additional information regarding the investigation.
