ASHLAND, OH- The Ashland County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a dangerous driver.

At approximately 5:42pm on Sunday, Sergeant Benner of the Ashland County Sheriff's Office was responding to an emergency situation.  Her overhead lights and sirens were both activated on her cruiser.

As Sergeant Benner approached the intersection of U.S. Route 42 and U.S. Route 250, a red Ford F-150 or F-250 was approaching the intersection from the opposite direction.

The truck failed to yield to Sergeant Benner despite having ample notice that her emergency vehicle was intending to turn left onto the bypass.  This created a potentially dangerous situation for both parties.

Anyone with information about the driver can contact the Ashland County Sheriff's Office at (419) 289-3911 or [email protected]
