BUCYRUS, OH- Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash in Bucyrus at approximately 7:49pm on Saturday.

The crash occurred north of Shafer Road on State Route 19 when 35-year old William Campbell of Shelby was traveling north in a Ford F-150.

When Campbell yielded and stopped for emergency vehicles, 42-year old Timothy Dye of Bucyrus attempted to avoid a collision with the truck on 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

While trying to avoid crashing into Campbell's truck, Dye's motorcycle crashed.  Dye and his 43-year old wife were both injured when they were ejected from the motorcycle.

William Dye was flown to The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus while his wife Bonnie was transported by ambulance to Bucyrus Community Hospital according to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office.

The road was temporarily closed by the Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department.  Hensely's Towing was also on the scene.

Campbell was not injured in the incident.  The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
