Autopsy Reveals New Information In Fleming Falls Shooting

MANSFIELD, OH- Autopsy results were released from the shooting that occurred in 1100 block of Fleming Falls Road last Thursday. One person is dead and another sustained serious injuries after the shooting occured in Madison Township.

On August 8th, at 9:29 PM the Richland County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the 1100 block of Fleming Falls Road in Mansfield, Ohio. The call reported a female yelling that she had been shot. 

Once deputies arrived on scene at 9:34 PM, they located the female victim with multiple life threatening injuries. The female was removed and transported to OhioHealth Mansfield. Authorities said the victim, Alesia Litteral,54,is still in the hospital after sustaining several wounds.

The investigation also resulted in deputies locating a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound. Sheriff's Office personnel secured the scene, and based on initial investigative information the Sheriff's Office believes that the incident to be contained. 

An autopsy on the deceased male is complete. The identity of the male is 40-year old, Ian Davidson. The report revealed that Davidson's cause of death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Toxicology reports are pending. 

While in emergency response to the incident, a Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of State route 430 and Illinois Avenue. The 911 calls were released for the accident, showing how severe the accident was. 

The Richland County Sheriff's Deputy was driving a 2018 Ford Taurus north on Illinois Avenue with emergency lights and sirens on when it struck a 2005 Saturn mini-van that was traveling west on SR 430 while traveling through the intersection. 

The Deputy was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield for injuries.

The driver of the Saturn was 58-year-old Anna Rebel of Mansfield, Ohio. 

Anna was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield and treated for injuries. The passenger in the Saturn, Gina Woodfall, 31-years-old of Mansfield, Ohio was also transported to OhioHealth to be treated for injuries. 

The Richland County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public to contact them if they have information concerning the investigation. Anyone with information may call the Major Crimes Section at 419-774-5610.
