MANSFIELD,OH- A ribbon cutting welcomed the new gazebo at “Happy Hallow Day Camp,” located at 792 Hull Road on Friday. Several city leaders, including Mansfield Division of Police members were in attendance to celebrate the occasion.

The gazebo was built through a grant by the National Police Athletic League (NPAL) grant initiative and dedicated to the Mansfield chapter of PAL.

The theme of the gazebo is “Have a Seat, Make a PAL” an anti-bullying safe zone for kids. The gazebo is part of a National PAL anti-bullying campaign and curriculum designed to bring awareness to the bullying problem.
Mansfield Police Athletic League director, Ginger Antrican, explained why the police department chose to put the gazebo at "Happy Hallow Day Camp."
"We decided that "Happy Hallow Day Camp," had so many children that come down here," said Antrican. "With collaboration with Mansfield City Schools safe program, FOP Lodge 32, Newhope, Friendly House, Mansfield Division of Police, PAL, and the kids, actually did not have any shade down here anymore."
"It means so much because I am such a fan of Happy Hallow," said Antrican." I see how many kids go through here and the camps are such programs for the children."
