The grandmother of a 5-year-old Crestline girl who was the subject of a month-long nationwide manhunt last year has been sentenced to six months in prison for trafficking drugs.

Haylee Donathan's grandmother, Mary Watson, 48, was sentenced Monday in Richland County Common Pleas Court. Watson plead guilty in February to three counts of drug trafficking. Watson could have received three years in prison for selling alprazolam, morphine an hydrocodone. The METRICH Enforcement Unit conducted the investigation and arrested Watson on Sept. 1.

Watson was among several parties seeking custody of Haylee, whose mother Candace Watson, ran off with her then sex offender boyfriend Robbi Potter last May. Candace Watson and Potter were arrested on June 23 at a Christian retreat center outside of San Diego, California.

In January, Richland County Juvenile Court Judge Rob Spon granted permanent custody of Haylee to Richland County Children Services and terminated parental rights.
