Local Korean War veterans participated in a convoy traveling across the Lincoln Highway, from Washington D.C. to San Fransisco, California.

The convoy is part of a re-enactment of the U.S. Army's first transcontinental motor convoy across the country in 1919.  The trip began Saturday in Washington D.C. and is expected to end July 8th.  The convoy traveled through Wooster, Ashland, Mansfield, and Galion today.  Many members of the Korean War Veterans of Richland County participated in the convoy, including President Glenn Greenawalt.

The U.S. military conducted the transcontinental trip in 1919 to test the country's road system and to honor World War I veterans.
